GST는 지난 5월 한 달간 임직원 걸음 기부 캠페인 「Good walk, Share Together」를 진행하였습니다.
이번 캠페인에는 총 526명의 임직원이 참여하여 1억 1,500만 걸음을 달성하며 목표 걸음 수인 1억 걸음을 115% 달성하는 성과를 거두었습니다.
목표 달성을 통해 마련된 후원금은 지난 6월 29일 생물다양성 보전과 멸종위기 야생생물 보호를 위해 환경재단에 전달되었으며,
환경재단은 국립공원공단과 협력하여 국립공원야생동물보전원(중부보전센터)의 여우 복원사업에 활용할 예정입니다.
후원금은 여우의 행동 풍부화 시설 조성과 건강 관리 지원 등에 사용되어 야생 적응을 돕고 안정적인 개체군 형성에 기여할 계획입니다. 여우는 멸종위기 야생생물 Ⅰ급으로 지정되어 보호받고 있습니다.
GST held its month-long employee walking donation campaign, "Good walk, Share Together," in May.
A total of 526 employees participated in the campaign, recording 115 million steps and achieving 115% of the campaign's goal.
The donation raised through the campaign was presented to the 'K-GREEN Foundation' on June 29 to support biodiversity conservation and the protection of endangered wildlife, and will be used for the native red fox restoration program at the 'National Park Institute For Wildlife Conservation' in cooperation with the 'Korea National Park Service'.
The donation will be used to establish environmental enrichment facilities and support health management for the foxes, helping them adapt to the wild and establish a stable population. The Korean red fox is designated as a Class I Endangered Wildlife Species in Korea.
